Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

I may be able to help you get DLA for your disabled child. After a free case assessment and free initial advice, if you decide you want me to work on your behalf in taking your claim forward, you would get 75% of any benefits arrears and I would get 25%. If your child does not get DLA you pay nothing.

I previously successfully challenged the DWP on how it was wrongly assessing deaf children and they agreed to change guidance to decision makers.  This was indicative of a wider problem of dubious DWP evidence gathering techniques involving writing to schools.  Schools will of course typically say how well the child is doing and then the DWP would use that as the basis for refusing claims. It's usually relatively straight-forward to challenge these type of decisions.

The DWP's own disability handbook can be useful: Medical guidance for DLA decision makers (child cases)
